Produced around 1936 by National Chicle Co. in Cambridge, MA, these unnumbered blank-backed cards measure 6" x 8". This is a great-looking leather finish Honus Wagner & Archie Vaughn card, graded by SGC as VG/EX! Two baseball subsets ("Glossy" and "Leather") were produced with the leather cards like this one fetching a higher value. Some R311 Glossy cards were listed on Diamond Star Gum wrappers, while some R311 leather cards carry "National Studios" label. There was also a seventeen-card R311 "Football" subset produced.
