This is an awesome board game "Babe Ruth's Baseball Game" by Milton Bradley. The box shows some wear and staining (with some tape on the box corners). The cover of the box shows a batter swinging and a catcher behind him with a first baseman preparing to move. Depicted on the left side of the box is Babe Ruth’s picture. “My own authorized baseball game, Babe Ruth” is facsimile printed three times on each side and once on each end in his handwriting. The game rules and scorecard template are printed inside the cover. Numbers have been penciled on this scorecard. The game board represents an aerial-view of a ball field, with icons of players in circles and “Runs” and “Outs” in foul-territory circles. Tokens include 6 blue and 5 (1 missing) red counters. 84 of the original 85 “play” cards remain. Cards contain directions on how to move players per “pitch.” This is a child’s board game about the game that Ruth built. A precursor of Stratomatic and even Wii, it captures the innocence and enthusiasm that children long ago had for baseball and the Babe.
