First Issue Sports Illustrated #1: August 16 1954 w. (27) Uncut Baseball Cards including Willie Mays, Richie Ashburn, Larry Doby, Jackie Robinson, and Ted Williams. Other notable uncut baseball cards include Eddie Mathews, Duke Snyder, Gil Hodges, Ted Kluszewski and more. Other features in the First Issue include "The Miracle At Vancouver" Ezzard Charles vs Rocky Marciano in Yankee Stadium, "Britain's First Sportsman," "The Battle of the Bubble Gum," "The Golden Age is Now," and many other articles. This issue is in good condition with minimal yellowing on the edges of the pages and some creasing on the front cover.
