In addition to the Maury Wills cards, key cards in this lot include Vada Pinson, Jim Piersall, Juan Pizarro, Hank Bauer - Mgr, Donn Clendenon, and more. This Maury Wills card represents his first Topps baseball card appearance. During his rookie season, Topps did not sign him to a contract as they did not foresee him having a lasting career. As a result, he then resisted signing with Topps until this 1967 set. This was a mistake that Topps made sure not to make again, signing all players their rookie or minor league years!
