This 1937 Goudey Wide Pen Premium R314 is one of DiMaggio's earliest issued baseball cards. This particular card is a fine portrait of a young, smiling DiMaggio, with his facsimile signature across the lower left side. There are 4 very small pin holes on each corner found in the background of the print, as well as slight wrinkling that does not affect his facial portrait. Additionally, there is some writing on the back top 1/3 of the card in blue pen. Joe DiMaggio cards were never issued in quantity throughout his playing career, making all of his cards, but particularly his earlier issued cards, very collectible.
