These RARE pre-Revolutionary War currency notes in Good to VG condition, were some of the earliest forms of paper money in our fledgling country. Each state developed its own form of paper currency, which at the time posed issues for citizens, as the value of each bill varied from state to state. The Keystone state of Pennsylvania was considered to have the most stable backing for its currency, and therefore held its value most steadily. This lot includes 10 Philadelphia currency pieces from 1776, 1 Philadelphia currency piece from 1778, 1 Connecticut bill from 1776, 1 New Jersey bill from 1776, and 1 Maryland piece from 1770 (torn in half). Another interesting offering of historical currency.
Condition: GD-VG
Lot of 14 Colonial Currency Notes circa 1770 (1), 1776 (12), & 1778 (1)
