This is a limited edition 2017 Leaf Immortal Collection Babe Ruth game-used baseball bat card, which is numbered 5/10 (only 10 of these were made!). The baseball bat relic in the card came from an actual baseball bat that Babe Ruth used in a game when he played for the Boston Red Sox!!!! Getting a piece of his game-used Red Sox baseball bat is VERY rare, as he only played for the Red Sox from 1914 to 1919 and only started playing regularly as a regular position player in 1918. From 1914-1917 Ruth was primarily a pitcher for the Red Sox, going 24–13 with a 2.01 ERA and six shutouts in 1917. For the Red Sox, he hit 2 home runs as a hitter in 1917, then 11 in 1918 and 29 in 1919. In his first year with the Yankees in 1920, Ruth hit 54 home runs, then followed with 59 home runs in 1921. Most of his game-used bats that have been found and certified are Yankees bats. This item is very rare to find with an actual relic from his game-used Red Sox baseball bat!!
