Jiggs’ career began as a catcher with the Pittsburgh Pirates (1900-1901), the Milwaukee Brewers (1901) and the St. Louis Browns (1902), but was moved to first base with the White Sox (1904-1908) and finished his career with the Washington Senators (1909). Donahue spent nine years in the Major Leagues amassing 731 hits, 319 runs, 143 stolen bases and 327 RBI while batting .255 in 813 games. He also posted an impressive .982 career fielding percentage.
