1947 World Champion New York Yankees autographed baseball with Joe DiMaggio (also includes two Chicago White SOx autographs - Luke Appling and Rudy York). This is a Reach W.Harridge Official American League baseball, which has been signed by (11) players, including 9 Yankees and 2 White Sox players. Autographs include 9 Yankees - Joe DiMaggio, Chuck Dressen (Yankees Coach), George McQuinn, Joe Page, Bill Johnson, Spud Chandler, Tom Henrich, Aaron Robinson, and Spec Shea; and (2) White Sox - Luke Appling and Rudy York. Some toning/soiling and other use/wear throughout ball. The 1947 World Series matched the New York Yankees against the Brooklyn Dodgers. The Yankees won the Series in seven games for their first title since 1943, and their eleventh World Series championship in team history. !947 was also a significant year since Jackie Robinson, desegregated major league baseball. For the first time in World Series history, a racially integrated team played. Rare baseball with (9) signatures of the 1947 World Series Champions, including Joe DiMaggio, as well as two other well known baseball starts (Appling and York).
