Following Roger Maris' 61st home run on the last day of the 1961 regular season, this large 3-1/2" souvenir pin was sold in select locations. The homer was the only run scored in the Yankees 1-0 shutout over Boston. Unlike other "Salute to Roger Maris" pinbacks hawked at Yankee Stadium, the offered collectible has a different "head shot", and has the lone run tallied in the bottom of the 4th inning placed in red ink. This is the rarer headshot version and was from the 1961 or 1962 season.
