This remarkable piece of baseball history, beautifully preserved by Uncle Jimmy, is the first in the series of 4 Babe Ruth cards in the 1933 Goudey set. This Ruth (#53) is regarded as the premiere Ruth card of this set. The striking yellow background emphasizes the dimensional color on Ruth's face, and is a testament to how well this card has been preserved since the early 1930s. Only 5 autographed examples of this card have ever been graded by PSA, and this particular card graded a PSA 3 MK (2 small pen lines on the back of the card) Auto 6, with only 1 other signed example grading higher.
