This is an extremely rare 1961 Peters Meats Minnesota Twins high-grade complete set (26). The Twins franchise was founded in Washington, D.C. in 1901 as the Washington Senators. The team relocated to Minnesota and was renamed the Minnesota Twins at the start of the 1961 season. "Peters Meats", makers of meat products that were enthusiastically consumed by the hungry Twins baseball fans, rang in the new franchise with these amazing cards that were part of their meats packages. A complete set is rarely discovered. These were stored together in an envelope for decades. This complete set never came in contact with any meat products and offers two distinct styles of packaging: "Porkettes" (4) and "Skinless Weiners" (22). Stars include #'s 1 Versalles, 2 Lopat, 7 Jim Kaat and 26 Harmon Killebrew.
