This is an almost-complete set of 1963 Topps Bazooka baseball all-time greats cards. This lot includes 40 of 41 cards in the set, including Ruth, Speaker, Cy Young, Wagner, Johnson, Gehrig, Cobb, & Ott! Only missing card #34 (Mickey Cochrane). The cards were stored untouched for decades. In 1963, competitive pressures compelled Topps to add a bonus to its 1963 Bazooka boxes. These cards were inserted inside boxes of Bazooka bubblegum at 5 per box. The 41-card set of Hall-of-Famers features black and white photos of the player inside a gold plaque. A short biography appears on the back, a first (and last) for Bazooka. Part of The Uncle Jimmy Collection.
