ULTRA RARE 1991 Upper Deck Heroes #18 Nolan Ryan w. "Strike Out King " Inscription #ed 1100/2500 Autograph, Only 25 Examples - Beckett Authentic. This extremely RARE card is one of only 25 examples that have the additional "Strike Out King" inscription on the card. Every 100 cards of the 2500 autographed cards received this extra inscription (as well as card number 383, commemorating his record for strikeouts in one season), and it has rarely been seen in the market. This example has been hard slabbed Authentic by Beckett. This card is thought to be the second earliest numbered autograph card in the hobby (folllowing the 1990 Upper Deck Heroes Reggie Jackson). The numbered Upper Deck Reggie Jackson and Nolan Ryan cards changed the Hobby forever, starting a trend of opening boxes to hope for big autographed and numbered inserts, a trend that has changed the hobby forever. This Nolan Ryan card is a super short print of the rare autograph card, since only 25 cards include the inscription.
