Amazing Lot of (12) 1950s Original Type 1 Hockey Press Photos. The photos include games with all 6 of the NHL Teams who played in the 1950s (called the "Original Six", which includes the Rangers, Canadiens, Maple Leafs, Black Hawks, Red Wings, and Bruins!). Stars and/or HOFers pictured include Maurice Richard, Allan Stanley, Alex Delvecchio, Gump Worsley, Red Kelly, Dean Prentice, Pete Babando, Jack Stoddard, Ted Lindsay, Milt Schmidt, Hal Laycoe, Ivan Irwin, Larry Zeidel, Bert Olmstead, Gus Mortson, Al Rollins, Wally Hergesheimer, and more! Since the photos were used for press/newspaper purposes, there are markings on most of the photos to indicate how the images were cropped. There are many classic images in this lot, including a player getting carted off the ice, many maskless action goalie scenes, in-action goals and saves, and even some scrums! All playes, even the goalies, are maskless in all photos, as the NHL in the 1950s was well before use of masks! These Original Six era Type 1 photos are rare and so unique! Original captions and date stamps are on the backs of all photos!
